Jan 31st, 2010 Callie Remembrance Ride
With very little preparation time, we created a benefit run for a dear departed little one. The event announcement was sent to several clubs and web sites with less than two weeks notice. Several members helped as the trails were chosen, ran, and timed. Reservations were made and donations were sought.
The event came together on a -6 degree morning after a fresh snow. Even though the response had been very favorable, one never knows what to expect in this weather. To our surprise, Jeeps and trucks were everywhere. The parking lot was completely full with vehicles overflowing out onto the road. Rosy red checks and smiles adorned well over a hundred participants. So many good hearted people were present to wheel for a great cause, I must admit to being amazed.
To the best of my knowledge, these clubs/websites were represented or sent donations: Stagger4x4, Pittsburg Off Road, HRJA, Broke Bent and Twisted, WVJC, and Ohio Off Road. People came from as many as 3 hours away to wheel lightly for this cause. Many of the people in attendance were general public who none of us had ever met. The sort of official vehicle count was approximately 75. On a particular note, 5 groups of vehicles rolled with a major incident and everybody enjoyed the outing. The banquet went very well and was a fantastic meet and greet for everybody.
We here at Stagger4x4, would like to thank everybody who worked, participated, attended, and sent donations. Thank you all.
1st Annual Stagger4x4 Off Road Poker Run “09”
On August 1st 2009, we hosted our first annual off road poker run. We had about 11 modified and 8 stock vehicle entries. The trails consisted of mostly impassable county roads and some private property. Several prizes were distributed and no major carnage befell any of the contestants. Dinner and music were provided and all had a great time.
Benfit Poker Run
On October 3rd 2009, we hosted a benefit poker run for an individual who was at that time, a friend of Stagger who was a little down on his health and luck. Since that time, his health is much improved and he has joined our organization. This poker run consisted of 15 Mod Vehicles running on a newly created OHV Park in our area and 17 Stock Vehicles who enjoyed a more scenic trail. Again, no carnage and everyone had a great time.
1st Annual SWAC Ride
On December 12th 2009, We hosted our first annual SWAC Ride. Proceeds from this event where donated to the Taylor County Shop With A Cop Program. This event, along with club member contributions, raised $500 to help make Christmas better for some of our areas less fortunate children.
Misc
Through out the year we have had several outings. They consist of numerous trail rides, new trail expeditions, night rides, swimming and kayaking, wings and a movie, cook outs, drive ins at the drive in (yea, we still have one of those), you name it.
